About Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary:
This wildlife sanctuary is at a distance of 35 km from Thalessery (22 km from Kunnur) and is home to tropical and semi evergreen forests. Within these forests animals like Deer, Elephants, Boars, Bisons, Leopards, Jungle Cats, various type Squirrels and rare species of birds are found.Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary is located next to the Central state Farm at Aralam in the Kannur district in Kerala. The Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1984. The Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary covers an area of 55 square kms. The highest point is the Katti Betta peak in the Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary. The vegetation in the Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary consists of coast tropical evergreen forest and west coast semi evergreen forest. There are about 490 hectares of teak and eucalyptus plantations within the forest area.

You can also go to Chennai (Madras), Bangalore, Mumbai (Bombay), Delhi, or other Indian cities and then by train.
