Madayi Mosque Kannur



About Madayi Mosque:

Malik Iben Dinar, who was a Muslim preacher, built this mosque in approximately 1124 A.D. It is a beautiful mosque and a popular tourist attraction. The mosque has a slab of white marble that was brought from Mecca by the founder who came here to disseminate the teachings of the Prophet.

Alternatively, you can go to Kochi International Airport or Thiruvananthapuram airport with direct flights from the Middle East, Singapore, Maldives and Sri Lanka then catch a train or bus to Kannur. You can also go to Chennai (Madras), Bangalore, Mumbai (Bombay), Delhi, or other Indian cities and then by train.

By Rail:

Kannur has its own railway station and is an important junction in Kerala. Trains from many neighbouring states also pass through this town to reach other places. Thus, it is well connected by rail to Kerala and other nearby states.

By Road:

Kannur is well linked by a wide network of roads and can be reached from anywhere in Kerala.
