Netaji Subhash Park is a small but beautiful garden adjoined with another park called Urdu Park. Netaji Subhash Park is mainly famous for two things, first is the huge striking figure of Netaji Shubhash Chandra Bose in the attire of a military leader and the second is the number of masseurs or the maalish-wallahs available there. Since they are supposed to be really good, one can get a massage surrounded by nature and save money by not going to an expensive spa. The natural surroundings would relax and rejuvenate anybody. Admission to the Netaji Subhash Park Delhi is free and open to all and there are no photography charges. Netaji Subhash Park is located in Old Delhi on the main Netaji Subhash Marg just opposite Sunehri Masjid. The park is open form six in the morning till seven in the evening. One can reach Netaji Subhash Park by opting for the local bus services. Alternatively they can hire autos at a pre settled price or take a taxi. For a more comfortable ride you can board a metro rail and get down at Chandni Chowk Station. And thereafter take a rickshaw. You can see some of the famous and some ancient monuments like Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Salimgarh Fort, St James Church and Rajghat. There are lots of nearby markets like Chandni Chowk (curios, souvenirs, silver and glass bead jewelry) Nai Sarak (books), Chor bazaar (electronic goods), Daryaganj book market (on Sunday) and Chatta Chowk in Red Fort (traditional and contemporary jewelry and handicrafts). Since these are really old and reputed shops, it is guaranteed that the product is bound to be good. Netaji was born in affluent family and was highly educated but gave it all up for the freedom struggle. The statue in the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Park reminds us of the great martyr.
