About Pallipurathu Kavu Temple:
Pallipurathu Kavu is the shrine of goddess bhadrakali located in kodimatha village of kottayam district; which is 0.5 km from the kottayam town. Devotees call the bhadrakali idol as Pallipurathu Amma, as this temple was named Pallipurathu Kavu by Bhadrakali Mattappalli Namboothripad, the famous tantri. The temple owned by Kottarathil family. We have a separate temple for sri Maha Vishnu inside the Pallipurathu temple premises. Ganapathi, Ayyappan, Yakshi, Velichapadu, Rakshasu, Sarppam, Kshetrapalakan and Khandakarnan are the upadevadas Annual festival, ”pathamudayam is from april 14th to 23rd”.
