About The Pench National Park :

Spread over a vast extend of 275 square kilometer, the Pench National Park, which snuggles in the southern gradients of the Satpura ranges is well known for its varied flora and fauna. A tropical dry deciduous forest in which the core vegetation is the Teak plant is also famed for the white Kullu trees .The river Pench, which divides the National Park into two, forms the sustenance of the Park. The Pench National Park is very rich in fauna and one can find a number of rare species, which are in danger of extinction. Declared as the nineteenth tiger reserve of India, this park also offers a delightful sight of odd varieties of birds also. This park houses wild boar, sambar, gaur, panther, macaque, chital, blue bull, barking deer, langoor, bear, wild dogs tiger and civet cat.Easily accessible, well-maintained park has achieved the prestigious award from the government of India, for its first-rate administration. Pench tiger reserve has the maximum density of herbivores animals in India. Along the banks of the Pench River, one can come across with most of the inhabitants of this park. Animals like Sambar, nilgai, Cheetal are usually seen scratching on the open spots on the riverbanks, roadsides. Jackals can be found hunting for food everywhere in the Park. Flocks of gaur can be dappled near rivulets and bamboo bits during summer. Sloth beer inhabits in the rocky, hilly regions of the park. Jeep Safaris in the wilderness of the thick jungle provides one with a finicky feeling. Besides this, one can opt for a pleasant walk through the deep woods. A Camp in the midst of thick woods with all the modern facilities at hand is an added advantage of this place. The excitement of seeing these wild animals in their natural habitat is really a wonderful experience, which will definitely bring the visitor back to this natural splendor. The Park functions between 6 am to 10:30 am in the morning and 3 pm to 6 pm in the evening. It should be born in mind that during monsoon the park remains closed.

By Air:

Sonegaon Airport, Nagpur (93 km from Pench National Park).Nagpur is the nearest airport connected to Mumbai and other places by regular flights.

By Road:

The nearest bus stand is at Seoni from where one can take buses or jeeps to the Pench National Park. Seoni is connected to almost all the places in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra by good road and rail networks.

By Rail:

Seoni Railway Station (30 km from Pench National Park).Seoni is the nearest railway station connected to Mumbai and other places in the region by regular trains.
