Mount Abu is a welcome retreat from the sweltering heat of the desert topography in Rajasthan. The pleasant climate and the tranquil surrounding make one of the preferable getaways from the din and bustle of city life. It is like a table top built around a lake and surrounded by verdant forests. Mount Abu earns much of its claim to fame due to the Dilwara temples located right at the top of the hills. It provides ample opportunities for trekkers and hikers to sharpen their trekking skill. The view from top of the hill is breathtaking. With its many sight seeing attractions and temples it is an ideal place for both leisure travelers and newly wed couples. The Crags is a popular viewpoint here from wherein you could have a wonderful view of the desert topography below. Located atop a cliff The Crags is a favorite hunt of tourists and locals. The whole atmosphere of the place has a carnival ring with food stall and souvenir shops sprawling here and there. Some of the other Viewer’s Point lying close by to The Crags are Sunset Point, Honey moon Point, and the Shanti Shikhar. If you are in the mood for hiking take the route through the forest which leads you straight to The Crags. The best season to visit Mount Abu is in spring. It is accessible from all parts of Rajasthan. Make prior bookings to avoid last minute rush.

How to Reach The Crags:

By Rail:

Abu Road is the nearest railway station just 28 KM from the main city, Which is very well connected by rail routes to New Delhi, Ahmadabad, Jaipur, and Mumbai. From Abu Road you can opt for state transport service (usually every hour) or Taxis on both sharing and private basis. To book car/taxi in advance visit here.

By Air:

The nearest airport is Udaipur at a distance of 185 km, But Ahmadabad is having better connectivity and daily flights with other parts of the country and is just 221 KM from Mount Abu, from Ahmadabad or Udaipur you can book Taxi in advance.

By Road:

Mount Abu is well connected by road with major cities of the country; nearest national highway no. 14 is just 24 KM’s.
