Mount Abu is one of the most scenic places in Rajasthan. The hilly topography and the pleasant climate provide you with a pleasant respite from the sweltering heat of the desert topography. The many Jain temples sprawling through the length of the place reflects the architectural splendor of Rajasthan. To begin with it was a seat of Chauhan kingdom of Rajasthan and many a Rajputs used this place as a summer retreat. Due to the strong Rajput presence a number of ancient Hindu temples can also be seen here. The Jain Temples, Mount Abu are dedicated to the Jain thirthankaras who are regarded with devotion in Jainism. The Jain Temples, Mount Abu were built between the 11th and 13th century A.D by skilled craftsmen who wove a dream in marbles. The temples are dedicated to the Jain thirthankaras. Jainism made its appearance in Mount Abu in the 11th century. The Jain Temples are a group of temples carved ingeniously in white marble. The intricate pattern and construction of the temples leaves one dumbfounded. The oldest of these temples is the The Vimala Vasahi temple dedicated to Adi Nath who was the first Jain thirthankara. By far and large this is one of the most important temple architecture and houses some 58 odd smaller cell which contains duplication image of Bhimadeva. The Jain Temples, Mount Abu reflects superb architectural evidence. The central shrine consists of an idol of Rishabdev. There are 48 intricately carved pillars in the temple complexes. Female figurines carved in different poses can be seen adorning the walls. The distinctively large courtyard is another feature of The Jain Temples. Lunvasahi temple in the compound is another famous temple here.

The nearest airport is Udaipur at a distance of 185 km, But Ahmadabad is having better connectivity and daily flights with other parts of the country and is just 221 KM from Mount Abu, from Ahmadabad or Udaipur you can book Taxi in advance.

Mount Abu is well connected by road with major cities of the country; nearest national highway no. 14 is just 24 KM’s.
