Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) Bus Service :
DTC is operating Interstate Services in 6 states and U.T. Chandigarh viz. Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pardesh, Himachal Pardesh, Rajasthan, and Jammu & Kashmir. The Corporation is operating about 133 Interstate Routes with about 727 buses. DTC runs Air-Conditioned Deluxe, Deluxe with push-back seats, Semi-Deluxe, Ordinary Buses on Interstate Routes. The Buses are having curtains, fans, comfortable cushion facilities as well as Air-suspension for smooth and safe ride. Just like RSRTC and KSRTC, DTC is known for its air conditioned and deluxe interstate bus services. DTC provides an efficient, comfortable, reliable, economical and properly coordinated bus services to the commuters of Delhi and adjoining states. DTC has deployed about 2154 CNG buses for the city service. There are about 814 routes, out of these routes DTC buses are plying on 630 routes on Delhi Roads. DTC runs ordinary bus service, limited bus services, night bus services, green line services, railway special services and palam coach services, the bus fare for each of this service differs. Separate bus fares for adult and children. DTC issues Green Card daily which is valid for traveling in DTC City buses through out the day. The fare is Rs. 25/- only. DTC issues passes to student, general public, police, resident of resettlement colonies. For the convenience of the public, DTC has opened PASS SECTION at 37 different locations including the centralised location at Scindia House.( Phone No. 23317445 ). DTC also runs Sight seeing tours within Delhi known as Delhi Darshan. DTC fare is Rs. 100 per person, and half ticket is charged for childrens between the age of 5 to 12 years. The tour covers approximately 8 places within Delhi namely Red fort, Delhi Metro (Kashmere gate), Raj ghat, India gate, Indira Gandhi Samitri, Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple, Birla Mandir.
