Hyderabad Tipping Guide:
In Hyderabad, it is expected to tip 10% of the total amount of the bill at restaurants, but you can tip less if the bill is inclusive of service charges. At major hotels, tip the bellhop (luggage carrier) and the doorman, if the service is predominantly good. It is also a good idea to tip considerably more to the caretaker and maintenance staff. One is not expected to tip taxi drivers. But if you have a hired a cab/taxi for a long period, say a full day, then it is expected that you tip the driver a small amount. Expect to find some of the most friendly and chivalrous service at the local dhabas located on roadsides. Even if it is only loose change, a small tip will be valued tremendously and accepted with a warm “Thank You”.

By Rail:
Secunderabad, which is the co-sister city of Hyderabad, is the head office of Southern and Central railways. Besides the Secunderabad railway station there are two other railway stations namely, the Hyderabad railway station (also known as Nampally) and Kacheguda railway station. All the trains leaving from Hyderabad and Kacheguda railway station have a stoppage at the Secunderabad railway station.

The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has maintained a well laid out system of roadways, which connect Hyderabad to almost every city and town.
