About Vimal Vasahi Temple:

Vimala Vashi Temple is an ancient Jain Temple located in Dilwara. A drive for just 2.5 kilometers from Mount Abu would lead you to this temple. Mount Abu, which is also famous for the other Jain Pilgrim sites like Dilwara Temple, is of great importance for the Jains. This temple of the Jains has been dedicated to the first Jain Tirthankara named Adinath. The temple is located in an open courtyard and is encircled by enormous smaller cells. You shall be able to see numerous smaller images over here. Constructed by Vimal Shah who had been a minister of Raj Bhimdeo, the temple is dedicated to Adinath. You can see the metallic idol of Adinath over here. It is composed of brass and gold. He had been the first of the Jain Tirthankaras. After the construction of the temple by Vimal Shah, Tejpal added the intricate floral paintings to make the temple look nicer. Built in accordance to the Sun Temple in Kashmir, this Vimala Vashi Temple India consists of one single main building and numerous other smaller buildings. The ceiling of the main building is intricately carved with various designs. Lotus buds, petals of flowers, geometrical designs etc are some of the important depictions found over here. The entire temple has been constructed from marble and is a great attraction for the tourists visiting Mount Abu.

Abu Road is the nearest railway station just 28 KM from the main city, Which is very well connected by rail routes to New Delhi, Ahmadabad, Jaipur, and Mumbai. From Abu Road you can opt for state transport service (usually every hour) or Taxis on both sharing and private basis. To book car/taxi in advance visit here.

By Air:

The nearest airport is Udaipur at a distance of 185 km, But Ahmadabad is having better connectivity and daily flights with other parts of the country and is just 221 KM from Mount Abu, from Ahmadabad or Udaipur you can book Taxi in advance.

By Road:

Mount Abu is well connected by road with major cities of the country; nearest national highway no. 14 is just 24 KM’s.
